Having a well-stocked pantry and freezer allows you to whip-up quick, nutritious and delicious meals that don’t call for a last-minute dash to the supermarket. It's all about smart planning ahead, for more effortless cooking when needed. 

Most of these foods have a long shelf life when stored correctly but keep on top of what you have to prevent any food waste. If you’re starting to build your pantry for the first time, you don’t have to go buy all at once. Slowly build up your inventory as needed or based on what’s on specials and keep a list of what you use up to add to your next shop.
