Stovetop Almond Tart
This flourless and crustless almond tart is super moist, sweet and utterly satisfying. It's prepared almost entirely on the stovetop, with the exception of a few minutes spent in the oven at the end, and is ideal for a last minute brunch, afternoon tea or dessert.
1 cup sugar
1 cup ground almond
1 cup cream
1 cup sliced almonds
1/3 cup rosewater
2 tablespoons butter
2tbsp icing sugar
Heat oven to 180C. Combine eggs, sugar, ground almonds, cream, sliced almonds and rose water.
Melt butter over low heat and add the almond mixture to the pan. Cook on the stovetop until the edges just begin to set, then put the pan in the oven and finish cooking for about 10-15 minutes, or until the middle is set.
Sprinkle with icing sugar and a few extra sliced almonds.
