Apple Crumble is one of the most comforting and satisfying desserts. It is also a great way to use up a whole bunch of apples in one go before it goes to waste. Sliced bananas can also be added to the apple mixture adding both sweetness and texture.

Ingredients

5-6 green apples, peeled, cored and diced

1/4 cup caster or brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

120g butter, melted

1/2 cup caster or brown sugar

2 cups plain or gluten-free flour
Apple Mixture
Crumble Topping
Directions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the apple in sugar and cinnamon.in an ovenproof dish and toss well to combine. Bake for 20 minutes until softened.
To make the crumble topping, mix butter, sugar and butter in a large bowl.
Once the apple mixture is soft, top with the crumble topping and bake for 30 minutes, or until the crumble is golden.
